DUDE.

This fic could have sucked. I mean, really sucked, in a fundamentally AWFUL way. But instead it's one of the best things I've read in awhile. You just--you nailed it. And I absolutely love the ending.

Heh, sweet.

I've got to admit that I read "suck" and the first thing I thought was "oh jesus no!" and then I read the rest of your comment and now I'm grinning like a FOOL. :)

Glad you like it. ♥

Time is irrelevant, really - only mileage counts.

Great line. Fantastic story. God, I love that car.

This was totally cool. Wonderful, and of course their car would come to life.

Hehe, yay. I'm glad you like it and you're right - of course it'll come to life. We might not see it, but I bet it totally is. :)

The car doesn't understand about seasons passing. It doesn't know, for example, how long it went without a sam (sammy?) part and it doesn't know how long the john part's been gone. It thinks it might remember the sound of water hitting something called 'ocean', but the car doesn't recall if that was before or after the second to last oil change, or if it ever happened at all. Time is irrelevant, really - only mileage counts.

Beautiful, beautiful passage. Metallicar philosophy, and time and the Here and Now of mechanic and parts.
Your Metallicar voice is truly unique :)

This is one of the most original fics I've read in any fandom. Wonderful perspective on the dean and sam (sammy?) parts and seeing from the view of a car. Great great job.
