Maine, you were so close, but you decided to fuck the human race and just assure me that Yes, we are back to the days before Civil Rights passed in the 60s ( Read more... )

Actually the past 2-3 months i havent watched any CNN or MSNBC, i dont read anything anymore online, and i just have basically decided not to worry about it as much anymore....im so sick of all the arguing back n forth, and the name calling, the lies spread on both sides, and the endless debates that go nowhere.....its all about who has the most money, and who can scare the American people the most....thats why No on 1 lost, because the ads scared people. you should of seen some of them....they basically were saying being Gay is like a plague and if you dont watch your children, it could be spread to them in schools...thats exactly what a few of the ads were saying....it was insane! and it was on TV every 5 minutes....These ads were blatantly and obvious racist ads...i mean, COME ON PEOPLE!!! whenever these ads or signs speak out against gay rights, all they do is wind up sounding racist...its like the 1960s all over again!!! it just boggles my mind were are still living in a country like this...and the hypocrisy is mind numbing.... I keep seeing the "gay marriage will be taught in school!" reasoning whipped out, and I can't figure out what that even means -- since when is marriage of any kind "taught" in school? It's like people think if this doesn't pass, they can keep their kids from learning that *gasp* gay people exist.

Yeah, good luck with that.

yah and because when two women get married together, me and my wifes marriage becomes a sham....i mean, what on earth does two people ill never know or meet who want to get married, no matter what sex they are effect my marriage to my wife? We all pay the same taxes last time i checked...we all see the same dentists, we all go to the same ball games, and watch the same television and eat the same food....

so its like when Mary and Jane get married in California, for straight people, we become like Obi-Wan when Alderon was destroyed, and he felt this horrible disturbance in the force...

i mean, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, I am right there with you all. The pictures of happy cheering Yes on 1 people make me want to punch them. I just can't understand how they think at all. It's an extremely frustrating and disappointing day.

True, true. I just.... I don't.... how the fudging fudge does anyone else's marriage have an impact on anyone?? It doesn't. Oh my god. Like, does my neighbor's marriage affect mine? Nope. A friggin' Mormon couple in Utah? Nada. So ... grah. Fudging bigots.

Because it's not really about that. It's about them finding it "icky." It's about feeling superior. It's about power and privilege and fear and all sorts of ugly human impulses. *sighs*

(Also, young lady, your potty talk is getting out of hand!)
