I think, not hundred percent sure tho, that I´ve become lactose intolerant. Never had any problems before I used to drink milk like a calf. But today and yesterday I ate like a cottage cheese/curd(whatever they´re called in english) products and  I ate ice-cream and my stomach randomly started to like ache and so on. Maybe I am imagining things, ( Read more... )

I know what you mean, I and my brother have the same problem. It's kind of like a lactose semi-tolerate. It sounds like you may have had too many dairy products, and for some people it will make their stomach ache too much. I started having the problem a few months ago and just started to reduce how much dairy I'd have a day.
I hope this helps.

Yeah I don´t think I have problems with all of milk products, like yogurt seems fine and I haven´t really drank that much milk recently but that seems fine too,
it seems like I might have slight problems with "heavier" milk products like cheese with higher fat percentage and cottage cheese and curd. But thank you for answering, I´ll just cut down on it and see if I feel better. :)

Many people become lactose intolerant as they get older. People's systems aren't really made to keep drinking milk after they've grown up. You can find out if you are by taking a blood sugar test or a breath test. Ask your doctor about it.

It's a little inconvenient if you have it, but they have lots of lactose-free milk products now, and soy products. It's not that bad. You can even still digest other types of milk, like goat's milk.

Now I have good reason to try new things so that is pretty great actually, but could I be like ten or something again for a brief second so I could continue like eat ice-cream.
Maybe it´s some other digestion issue or I am imaging things, but yeah I´ll cut down on dairy and maybe try like coconut milk or something and see if it makes me feel better. Thank you for your advice. :)

Well if this has only happened once, don't panic yet. It could be something else.

And you don't need to give up ice cream if you do end up being lactose intolerant. There's soy ice cream, and you can even make your own ice cream with lactose-free milk. And guess what, home-made ice cream tastes even better :)

I've been lactose intolerant for most of my adult life, but I don't have to completely cut out dairy products from my diet, just reduce them ( ... )

I've been creeping around LJ lately after finding you, along with other Simmers, in this hidden corner of the LJ universe.
