Why you gotta rain on my parade C? That's just not cool. Naw, jk. So in light of recent advice from many sources on the 500 being a tad puny and underpowered and not worth buying, been looking at the GSX-R 600 and the Yamaha FZ6R. Lizzy the other girl that I ride with either currently has or used to have a GSX-R 600 she loved that bike. I have only heard good things about it. I have not heard much in the way on on Yamaha. Yamaha and Honda were pretty much out of the running for me as they tend to be on the tall side. The only way to know for sure for you is to go sit on one.

Lizzy was who just upgraded from "Nina", her ninja 500 to the GSX-600 and loves it.

The FZ6R is a lot of bike do to it being so light... Means you will go faster but get blown around more than if you are on a standard FZ6. Basically it is Ria's bike only lighter and I think not as good of suspension.

Both are nice bikes.

I felt the need to rain on your parade slightly as you and I recent had a conversation regarding being broke so I felt the need to point out that you will not really be saving any money for several years. Besides that it is just due to the Ninja 500's looking butt ugly to me.

Also light bike does mean blown around. Yesterday I rode the bike in the rain and wind and got blown all over the place.
