"Wha' about, Oncie?" Isabella looked positively delighted at this food, rubbing her forming belly from time to time. It was almost a mock of what Norma went through though it wasn't totally free of karma. She had the worst morning sickness in the beginning and Cal was a very skittish sort of baby, his kicks were harder than usual. Plus, being a werewolf, not too glamorous at tmes.
Nonetheless, she never stopped looking the part of a diva, now that she had the manor and Epps' support.
Taking heart that she was at the very least, enjoying the meal, Once rubbed the back of his neck.
"W-we we, ah, visited Mrs. Isabella. Norma wanted to meet some more of the family, and, um...it brought up some q-questions."
He loathed the fact he was stammering around as if he had done something wrong. People visited relatives. People talked about visits with said relatives.
"Like, um, she kind of gave Norma a spell, for instance...."
The stammering reinforced her belief that Once-ler would obey her without a question but her eyes widened at the spell part. Of course, even Once's baby momma had talent. "Issat so? A spell like a spell fer som' tradition or a spell like tha' magic type?"
As dear as Mrs. Isabella was for her, Once-ler's mother felt this had threatened her power over her child. Eugene has asked around as well. "Yer woman must've been a real sweet t' git anythin' other than her usual."
Once cleared his throat, willing himself to be a bit more confident. "I guess the magic sort. Which...um...I'm guessing you already knew she was into that stuff?"
"I think most people like Norma when they meet her."
