GREAT ANALYSIS!! just a couple of things that I would add.. He's not creating that distance just for her. He's doing it for himself as well, because letting her connect opens that gaping wound of rejection that he has. Hannah just distracts him from it temporarily. something that I wrote over at bonesology is that it's funny because here was an open and funny Brennan and you could tell she was drawing him in.. What did he do? Each time he made a comment to cut her down a bit. He made himself feel annoyed instead of allowing himself to feel the enchantment he felt last season or to teach her more. He's almost completely abdicated that role of guide that he took on in season 1 in Bar, because he just doesn't want to be challenged on love and fakery. B/c then he'd have to look at himself. That said, you can see peeks where he couldn't help himself and did things like made the Yowza comment ( ... )
