I just watched the Bones premiere for the fourth time since it aired (I love the Internet) and I must say that I walked away slightly more in love with this show than I was before.

there were a couple of things that struck me in the first ep with regards to Booth - one being that it felt like he was overcompensating/trying too hard when it came to Hannah - at least that's how it felt to me. The other being that he was more detached from the group on the whole, not just from Brennan (which he's definitely done, but I get). In the scene where the entire group is getting back together, you see most of the group talking to each other, but all you see is Booth in the back pouring himself a drink. and in the argument about who's the lynchpin (which was funny) I think this is a bit of bleedthrough from the season finale where he wants somebody to want him around and think he's important.. and I think, in a way, that's what Hannah also gives him.
