There are less than 12 hours left of the Bush presidency. Let me repeat: less than 12 hours left of the Bush presidency. I was a junior in high school when Bush became President. Though I remember the various happenings of the Clinton Presidency, I didn't become politically aware until Bush was elected. Over the past eight years, I have cried,

Much like you, I felt helpless in 2000 because I could not yet vote...but even more so in 2004 when the 'four more years' crowd put their ignorance above our safety and kept a madman holding power over us (yes...power OVER).

Especially after doing the reading for political soc this week, I have so much hope for what could be, can be, WILL BE now that we have a leader we can trust.

Here's to the new era.
