The recital is past, and now I can relax and spend some more time with my family (visiting from SF). While it seemed like every other organist was away on vacation, there were a number of people I was very pleased to see last night, including relations of stealthmuffin. We all had ice cream immediately afterwards, and it was very nice to spend those moments, ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed the concert last night! I can never get enough Messaien organ music. :)
I once had a tour of Zuckermann's harpsichord factory - I grew up near there. It was a fascinating place. The owner was also building his own organ in a corner of the factory floor, just for fun.

That's right, he's over in Conn. Close to your school? My teacher built a pipe organ when he was a kid.
