Things have been going well. Mike and I are still seeing each other. I have been struggling with the fact that he wants to spend time with me constantly and I miss my alone time with Carleigh. Aww, I'm sorry about the smothering feeling - I've been there! With my ex I had to constantly fight for attention, and when I started dating my current boyfriend he was so eager to spend time with me and I was unable to say no, and my social life and housework and health (never getting a chance to cook meals, etc.) really suffered.

I'm sure he'd feel a little sad if you explained that you needed more time, but if he really cares about you, and you explain that it's not that you don't want to spend time with him, but you just want to make sure you don't end up resentful of him when you have to stay up late to clean the house or something, and that it'll make time with him more relaxed and enjoyable for you, I'm sure he'll come around. Good luck with that - I'm sure you can find balance eventually. New relationships always take some practice at first. :)

I have just been afraid to say anything to him. I fear that he won't understand. I don't want to lose him, or make him feel that I don't want to spend time with him. I hope that he will understand and not take it the wrong way, but he is very understanding about my feelings. I guess I will see what happens.
