I'm looking at the Eugene area, Salem if it's going to cost me too much. I've noticed a big boom in housing costs up there. Still a drop in the bucket compared to living in California though.

I have a feeling that a change in surroundings will definitely affect your out look on things as they are. I think a large portion of the rut you are currently in has to do with the fact that you are back in the same general place where these problems arose in the first place. Living in another place where you can get a fresh perspective will more than likely give you the will power, and ability to see through some of the problems you are having trouble resolving ( ... )

Now granted, I've no prior experience to determine if I have any credibility toward detecting such things, but I constantly get the vague feeling off you that you are going to return from this slumber, and fairly soon...
likely not the moment you move to OR, but within a fathomable time thereafter.

...And I don't feel the move itself is going to cause it. Not really.
It's more like there's a greater swell of lifejuice, rippling and eddying, rising and falling beneath the surface.. and that if anything, the physical move will be a simultaneous symptom of this deeper cause.
I think you'll wake up because, as far as I can figure, it's time for you to do so.

Thank you for that.. I'm not entirely sure how else to respond, but I wanted to be sure you knew I read this and that I appreciate it.
