I was NOT there. It is the biggest source of guilt I am having now. I was on my way to the Doctor's for an important appointment when I got the call on my cell ( Read more... )

It was a shock but NOT unexpected. At the end, even SHE knew she was going and wanted to go. We just kept her comfortable (MASSIVE doses of narcotics per doctor's orders) You have NO idea of the pain horror and damage caused by cancer unless you've gone through it. My wife was the FOURTH woman in my family I've had to go through it with. My Sister, cousin, and mother, were the other three. IN most cases cases the results are Worse than Holocaust victims I have seen. My wife being no exception. She wanted and wants me to stay active on the computer as therapy so I will. Thanks willow.

I can't say I've had family members that went through cancer, but a boy I knew in high school was diagnosed with leukemia. You're absolutely right, it's not nice to watch, and it still occasionally bothers me even though it happened a good 9 or 10 years ago. I'm honestly so, so sorry you had to go through that, I can't even imagine. You're much stronger than I am.

I just need to socialize with people as much as possible. To become reclusive after something like this is to invite quick death. Luckily our 9-year-old grandson has his bedroom in out house. His parents and sister live a half mile away but really have no room for him at this time , so he stays with us much of the time. I am trying to figure out how to correct this. If I had at least one more room I could move us all together. So I am going to see what occurs.
