GODDAMNED TWITCHY-JERKS!

Happen at the weirdest odd times.. but MOSTLY when I'm tired.

All of a sudden My arm starts twitching and my head jerks to the right.. repeatedly. and it HURT sometimes... >_< I'm gonna chalk it up to too much stress...

That does sound like something neurological. I only suggest focal dystonia because I read this article recently, about Scott Adams losing (and then regaining) his voice. I'm sure there's half a dozen other things that might have those symptoms.

Definitely talk to your doctor, Shey m'love. Sooner rather than later, too. nerve problems aren't improved by age.

Cliff notes version:
- Dystonia isn't a disease. It's a description of a specific set of symptoms that can be caused by a variety of totally unrelated things.
- It CAN be a side effect of neuroleptic medication.
- It's sometimes treated with things like Benadryl and Botox injections. These are only temporary relief, NOT a cure.
- Some forms are reversible with physical therapy; i.e. remapping your brain with biofeedback so it doesn't twitch any more.
- Artists tend to get it in their hands from repetitive fine movements like drawing or playing music. That's not the only way you get it though.
