The end of bullshit

It's time for a revolution. This command is ridiculous. It is evident through the punishments they award, through their inconsiderate treatment of the cadets, and the ridiculous attempts at winning over cadet appeal. We need to do something

If you hate this place so much why don't you leave? No one wants someone here with such disrespect and hatred towards the system. So do the Coast Guard a favor and leave. It's one thing to dislike areas of the Academy and provide a means for improvement- this is called constructive criticism. When one does nothing but grouse about things that can easily be changed with enough foresight and motivation, it does nothing but bring down morale and hope for a better Coast Guard. You are doing no one a favor or service by calling a Captain a "fuckin asshole". If you feel so passionate about the subject why not approach him directly and ask him about his views on the Academy and cadets in general? You may gain some insight that you never knew existed by expanding your horizons and seeing the Coast Guard Academy through a different set of eyes. Just some food for thought.

First of all, who are you? And second, if you haven't noticed, most attempts to criticize a command result in demerits. How does this provide any incentive to actually approach a commanding officer and speak my mind? Second, if there had been a venue, say a Request and Complaint mast (which I have asked for), for people to bring forth issues, I would have done so already. I have heard the different arguments for and against Academy policy. It is not the Academy itself I am opposed to, I am opposed to the implementation of policies and the issuing of punishments that weaken the cadets and bring down morale. I am not the one that brings down morale here, I simply point out the things that are most infuriating for me. By putting these thoughts in a journal, I am able to go on everyday relatively happy with my life. I need to vent sometimes. I think that watching people that would make good officers leave the Academy, and watching people that have no personal conviction, who simply buy into a system is a most demoralizing picture ( ... )
