Well, well, well.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have confirmation. Soul gone bye-bye. And possibly not human. I'm not sure if the one is the result of the other, or if they're two concurrent things. Is Sam not human because he has no soul? Or is he a not-human who also has no soul?

I foresee a lot of rewatching the scene in the dungeon with Veritas in my future.

Also, for the record, I find myself completely indifferent to the breakup. I'm not happy about it, I'm not upset about it. It just is. Like Sam, I don't care, and can't really bring myself to care that I don't care. I did, however, kinda love Lisa calling out Dean's massively, massively unhealthy relationship with Sam.

Finally, for a curse that ends in the victim committing suicide, Dean didn't seem to be in much danger of that. Eh, we'll say that Sam's soullessness saved him, cause, really, the only two people who could ever have said anything that would make Dean kill himself would be John and Sam.

Although, why, in particular, would not having a soul exempt one from telling the truth? Does Veritas aim her whammy at souls? Or, are we saying that without a soul, you can't tell the difference between the truth and lies? I would think it's more like being insane and not knowing the difference between right and wrong.

Eh. Looking forward to next week! More so than I have for a while. Confirmation that there is, in fact, Something Wrong with Sam is a relief, and now we can start fixing it. And then there will be Sam'n'Dean happy-fun-times again! :)

And now, I need to go finish filling out the freaking job application. I hate filling out the essays on these things.
