Some years ago, a friend of mine serving in the military sent me a copy of Skippy's List - aka "The 213 things that Skippy is no longer allowed to do in the U.S. Army". The list is hysterical, and I've long treasured #87 - "If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it."

TSTL was ER shorthand for too stupid to live. Like the guy who thought he was going to suffocate and die cause he wasn't getting any air... but it was just his blue t-shirt's dye coming off on his skin. Shoulda guessed by the ending lines at arms and throat...
