You know, for some people, being able to pay money for software in a box will lend it some legitimacy. And heck, for someone that doesn't know how to or doesn't have the software, drive, discs and bandwidth to burn an ISO, spending $20 on a boxed Ubuntu might be easier than waiting a couple of weeks for the free discs to be shipped to them.
