Friends, Vigils and public speaking... yeah, I'm not ADD

I would take it as a huge sign of respect to be asked for so many. One must always remember that one never views oneself the way others see them.....I learn that about myself on almost a daily basis.

We ask you to speak, because you are honest and loving.

I think you speak wonderfully at elevations. You always sound like you actually KNOW the candidate, which is awesome. And? You generally are pretty quick, which at a three hour court is a Very Good Thing. :)

I feel bad that I didn't make it to any of the vigils, but maybe I should come up with something clever to say first.

you spoke for me once, and I know why -- because you speak from the heart. I don't know Eddie, but your tribute to him gave me a little window into why he is beloved, and that made his elevation more meaningful to me.

No one could better Vis's oratory. It made me cry, as it did many others, I am sure. But that does not mean that your contribution lacked anything at all. Luckily, the world and the people in it are not flat planes with one side to them. There are many sides and angles, and you hold up a mirror that is always worth looking through.

Vis IS a master orator. I love the language and appreciate beautiful speeches. I also appreciate plain language when it's called for - and I appreciate when people speak from their heart using whatever words work for them.

You are very special to many people. You have a bright soul. That comes through when you speak and when you write. People usually ask for worthies out of love, not because they hope for a beautiful speech.
