I'm looking into adoption too, I know we'll want kids in the next few years and that is one of the most plausible options. So expensive though... Your god-daughter is so beautiful.
She is also such a sweet infant. She cuddles and is so loving and receptive to nurturing touch. I could tell in an instant what her mother tells me-- she never puts this baby down!!
Please pass along anything you find when looking into adoption. There are so many choices out there-- it's a bit scary.
Oh, she's absolutely gorgeous!! (and you seem like such a natural with her). ;)
It's a shame that adoption is so expensive- there are so many families that could provide wonderful homes for little ones, but I suppose they want to make sure that the adoptive parents are super-financially stable for prospective adoptees. A friend of mine is adopting a little girl from China, and the process has been absolutely harrying for her.
I've heard that foreign adoptions can have certain advantages, but I don't know anyone personally who has pursed this recently (my husband's aunt & uncle adopted a baby from China in the mid 80's, but they both spoke fluent Chinese and were well connected in China.)
Holding her is about the most natural thing I've ever done. The unatural part was letting go!
thank you :) My mother just mailed them 2 new baby outfits from England since neither parent's mom is alive, she's taking an active role as "God Grammy" :)
Ahh, then I'd have an exceptionally bright and clever artistic sort of kiddo with depth of spirit and heart of courage flavored gold! :):):):) That would do quite nicely dear heart!
