He steps out into sight, same as always minus the lab coat. Same slightly dishevelled appearance, cigarette in hand. Maybe the smugness has been toned down a little. Friendly, friendly~
"Mr Almasy, glad you could make it."

"I'm sure you are." He ignores the girl -- she's unimportant. He can tell a military escort when he sees one. Or at least, ignores for the most part: there's a gun in that purse, and it's going to be used on him if he tries anything violent, and that's the part that matters. He shifts, leaning to one side to make sure the hilt of that sword beneath his jacket doesn't show; if he has to try something violent, he's going to need all the advantages he can get.
Down to business, as quickly and as directly as possible. "So. How is this going to work? Spare me all the questions, a dozen people have tried to drill me already. What can you do that they can't?"

"Well Mr Almasy, your choice is really a simple one. We have all the money, all the power, all the best scientific equipment and all the best minds. We're researching this, and we're the ones who'll have the answers first. You can come with us and tell us all you can, we can run a few tests to see if there's any obvious indication of how this happened and fill you in on what we've found... Or you can walk away, and be no nearer the truth. I know what I'd choose~"

Galbadia, is it. Probably a good comparison. The chances of him walking in and then back out of both places in one piece are probably pretty slim, but like he's said, somebody's got to do it. And why not him? He tells himself again: he's better prepared for this kind of thing than Nida or (ha,) Zell, and he's not afraid to die fighting his way out if he has to...
But it can't hurt to ask, even when the decision's already made in his head. "What proof can you give me that I'll be walking back out of your little labs alive?" No need to mention that several people know where he's going -- let them come up with that on their own. "Can you even give me any?"
