There's some times where I feel he gets a little redundant (of course that is my number one complaint with most philosophers I read, if the piece is longer than, say, twenty pages, regardless of whatever position it is they take) and a little quote-heavy (complaint the second, but I think these just may be canon traits), but upside of that is it's given me a taste of some thinkers/writers/titles I'm adding to my read-this-someday list.

Book's called The Opening of Vision: Nihilism and the Postmodern Situation by David Michael Levin. It is, I believe, the second book he wrote of what I think may have become four books on humans' relations to the world around them based on different faculties (hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling/tasting--order not contingent to actual book order). My final Phenomenology paper was based off of Hans Jonas's essay "The Nobility of Sight" (also references in Levin's book) and arguing that for 3/4 of Jonas's argument for that nobility, one could make the same argument for smell.
