He takes a taxi home - hasn't been to traffic school yet - and gets the "there's company" text as he gets in the elevator. His first thought is maybe Marion dropped by which could be fantastic (hey, she's stopped being pissed at him) or terrible (she's come over to tell him to fuck off in person).
... Well. That's not Marion.

At this point, Lo is stretched out on her stomach by Alfred's feet, with her sandals hanging off her toes in the air and her elbows propping her up. Her pen appears to be a darker shade of pink, with a fluffy end that lights up. Her stationary all runs in this (tacky) direction, predictably, and all in all the scene is a little surreal in its surroundings.
"Miss Lourdes had got a bit stuck in her Introduction To Philosophy class," Alfred supplies, saintly.

"Gosh, not very well," Lo complains, digging her pen into the pad of paper she's leaning on. (This is one instance in which it's more likely that the problem lies with Lo's ability to focus on her schoolwork and not the ability of educators to teach her.) She seems merrily oblivious to (or just ignoring) Bruce's bewilderment, which ... is par for the course.
