I'm with you here. It scares the pants off of me, because I feel like they are going to drive all privatized insurance away, and take away any choice that we have as citizens, as individuals.
Amen sista. I live in Massachusetts, and they passed a law a couple years back that you HAVE to have health insurance, or you get fined. And guess what, since then, the state has gone into huge debt. It just doesn't work. And I applied for the state-sponsored health care when I got kicked off my parents' insurance when I graduated (oh thanks Obama, change the rule now that it doesn't help me) FOUR months ago and haven't received a response, and yet I'm going to be fined for the time that I'm waiting around for them to process my application. It's stupid, and scary.
