So, I admit: I've never read Avengers fic and it's been ages since I saw Iron Man but not as long since I saw Batman (and I know there's so much more in the extended verse, but at least I know who most of them are, right?). Anyway, that said, I clicked cause this looked like an interesting little fic and I'm always interested in reading fics with issues that people actually know about and this...holy fuck, wow. I think I've fallen in love with this fic. I love Tony and Pepper and Bruce. And I love that Tony is dealing and not becoming the withering flower like everyone expects him to.

Most of all, I salute you cause if I had to deal with the kind of crap I see you dealing with from Twitter I know I would have punched more than one person. Gods, I hope that doesn't sound trite and isn't offensive. So I'm just gonna go back and reread this and enjoy the hell out of it some more.

I am really, really glad this worked for you. I've spent years crushing any thoughts I've had of writing a blind character in fic because I didn't want to be that person. And then last year I slowly started on a bandom au with a blind protagonist, but it's been stalled at 30000 words and 'time passes is not a plot' for the past few months and I was just scrolling through the disability tag on pinboard this morning and this kind of popped fully formed out of my brain. It was kind of fun to be able to stretch with Tony's character a bit, like Tony has the intelegence and money and personality to have talking AIs and robots and all the tech and ability to make that tech do what he needs it to, but it's not so high-tech that the problem can just magicly be solved (see: Star Trek TNG ( ... )
