Yay Yay Yay!!! *massive hugs*

When my husband was near death a few years ago in the hospital, it was the nurses who pulled him through, not his doctor. His surgeon was out of town that horrible, awful weekend when everything went to hell. The RN on the floor was my babe's guardian angel.

You will be a guardian angel to someone else. I know it. I feel it.

I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

Oh you go girl, good on you. It's nice to hear that someone else with learning disabilities has made her dreams come true despite all the "helpful advice" of the experts and society in general.

This is your moment and so I am not going to relate my story now. If you want to talk about it ask me. I don't mind talking about it. But for now suffice it to say that it warms my heart to know you've triumphed over those who can not or will not ever understand.

The hardest thing about a learning disability I think is the fact that it is mostly invisible. Everyone expects you to learn and act like everyone else and when you don't your labeled as a trouble maker, lazy or stupid. It's hard to succeed when everyone around you is telling you it's not going to happen. So good for you. I know I don't know you very well since we've only chatted once in a while on LJ, but I couldn't be prouder. You are amazing. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
