that way very well written! did you do that in one shot? nice job regardless. Very nice illustration of how the industry is right now... I've had similiar thoughts when I've seen some of the titles you've listed.
btw... cruel intentions has had 2 sequels as had wild things (as proven by my visit to blockbuster video last week)

and... dead like me was cancelled? Damn... I was just getting into it :(

Oh, and I need to test something out with linking... I'm posting my url here to try something out. don't mind me.

You're watching Dead Like Me being picked up by Showcase. It was originally on Showtime, I believe, though I'm not sure. Showtime being the American competition to their own HBO. There are two seasons of it, and I've seen every episode in order. Quite good show, it's just too bad it got cancelled. You'll like it, though, keep watching.

And, yes I wrote that in one shot, but it was a shot that lasted a couple hours, while I was writing a few more things towards my ongoing book. Thank you for the comments :)

You are all insane. I disagree with everything.

There are an abundance of good and original shows and movies out there, and while I agree there is no reason to tolerate shit, I personally have a long list of amazing movies I love (recent movies), and movies I am psyched about seeing. They're not that hard to find, folks, and I believe out of all of you I have the most discriminating taste (that is to say, I am the snobbiest.)

The same goes for any sort of media that is being mass-marketed or disatisfying remakes. Fine, you don't like them, obviously, but there has never been a time where the discriminating nerd has had this much choice! It's not -that- difficult anymore to get past what is being marketted on tv and radio, and find and support the actually talented artists.

Fixating on media you deem unsatisfactory only supports it.

I was waiting to hear what you'd question.

Did you assume that, by naming a few movies and calling a lot of Hollywood "shit", I meant all of them, that there have been no recent movies I've enjoyed?

As for "fixating on media you deem unsatisfactory only supports it", I disagree completely with that.

No, I did not assume that, I was simply trying to say that it's a moot point. Art will forever be over-saturated with shit, there is no point in complaining about how much you don't like, where there is definitely enough beautiful and amazing movies/books/tv/music to find. There is even less point in complaining about how much better your taste is than other peoples.

I imagine we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
