Hello my darlings. We're going to try something that might be new to most people, a self-check activity system. The rules might make it seem complicated, but I swear it doesn't get easier than this. Please read, check out the examples and don't worry! If you have any questions about it, we're all happy to explain it to you.
- 1) Comment with your character's name and fandom in the subject- make sure to comment under your player name. If you are a new player, you will first have to make a comment like "JOHN SMITH'S CHARACTERS" and then reply to that with your character's name and fandom.
2) Each month, reply to your character's thread with the MONTH NAME in the subject line. Provide with the links to your character's activity for that month in the comment.
4) The following month do the same thing all over again in a new comment!
3) Do this separately for all your characters!
You are required to report on your own activity. All players must make a thread for each of their characters. Regardless if you made activity- if your character does not have a thread on the ACTIVITY CHECK post, they will be auto-removed. The mods are only looking at this post. If you aren't here, you're OUT.
This post will always be used for these activity checks, so you are free to report at any time during the month. The expectation is all of your activity for the month is posted by midnight on the 2nd of the month.
Each month, all characters must do of one of the following options:

or
[ ] 1 LJ post, 1 ten+ comment thread (10 of YOUR comments)
or
[ ] 1 LJ post , 1 log
Failure to self-report will result in removal from the game.
Explanation:
- 1) One post is required of all characters for each month. Another post, a log or a long comment thread fulfills the second part of the check. You cannot post two logs or two long comment threads as a complete activity check. It's fine if you do those, but one post per month is required. If in 30 days you are having a difficult time coming up with an idea for a post, you shouldn't be playing that character.
2) Log credit is given for action spams as well as prose based posts. Activity credit is given for participants who perform actively within the log. If it looks like you replied twice briefly and then idled out, you will not be given credit. If your two replies are 9 pages each, you will be given credit. We're grownups here, figure this part out.
3) A comment thread with 10+ of YOUR comments looks like THIS. In short, a beefy thread. 10 replies by YOUR character is the minimum, feel free to go longer. Not accepted; 10 comments by your character total to several diff threads (You should sure as hell have more than total 10 comments a month.) Also not accepted; ten of your own comments with no response, like a single line action spam. We want a beefy thread where your character says at least 10 different replies to another character.
4) Characters who fail one month's activity will have one week to contact mods before their character is auto-removed. If extenuating circumstances prevent players from contacting mods, fellow players can initiate conversation on their behalf. In event of a hiatus, characters must reply to their Activity Check thread with "hiatus". Taking a hiatus for one month will REQUIRE full activity with that character the next month. Failure to do so will result in auto-removal.
6) IF YOU ARE REMOVED DUE TO ACTIVITY CHECK FAILURE: You are required to wait 2 weeks before re-apping that character (you may place a reserve), and your character will return to New Moore with a full memory wipe. Any progress you made with that character prior to auto-removal will be forgotten by only your character. So if you kissed a bunch of people during the Valentines Day plot, too bad- everyone but you will remember it. This is confusing and strange because it is to discourage players from idling out and re-apping on a regular basis. If this becomes problematic still, the mods may reject your application on grounds of repeated activity failure.
5) New characters who have been on New Moore for two weeks or more are expected to make activity. If you character was accepted less than two weeks before activity checks, you will not be expected to make checks for that month. You are free to report, but will not be penalized for missing that first month. You are expected to make activity checks next month, however.
