Wellesley was open
Sam's girlfriend showed us around, she's a student. We even got a free meal there.

And we used a timer.

is the school significantly more liberal than it was during the 50's?

yes. indeed.

And there was apparently a huge stink over the casting of extras because the crew took fewer asian students that were represented in the student body during the time period the movie was set in.
