I tried to update Livejournal outside today, but the sunlight blinded me and prevented me from being able to see the laptop, and when I moved to the shade, the wind started up. It made me sad, but a tinge of spring is in the air. Soon, there will be no wind, or snow. It makes me extraordinarily happy, because spring is my favorite season! And I'm ( Read more... )

Did he tell you what Nietzsche himself said -- that the thought as a whole is best understood if read in order, from his earliest published works to the last? ... definitely helps for me. That would take many years or decades, of course, if done carefully.

My professor actually never mentioned that. But the problem is, this class moves at such a fast pace, there's no way that I could get all of the class reading done in addition to the pre-Genealogy of Morals Nietzsche writings! Actually, with my current work ethic, there's no way I could get all of the class readings done, period. Maybe I'll save them all for when I become a world-renowned Nietzsche scholar...

Up
