Sometimes, when I read the news, I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry. This was one of those times:
McCain says Obama will 'say anything' to win. Then again, I suppose if anyone knows about 'saying anything to win,' it would be him.
I really shouldn't be surprised. McCain has now gone through every page of the Republican right-wing dipshit playbook, via his proxies - his "campaign officials," who've been systematically spreading and encouraging every bad rumor they can think of, about Obama. Doesn't matter whether the rumor is true or not. They've thrown every insulting label they know at him: tax-and-spend, liberal, elitist, anti-american, and now
"pals with terrorists." We've been encouraged to hate and fear him for being a foreign-born muslim (fact check: born in America, and Christian); he won't say the pledge of allegiance (fact check: he does); he wants to tax the poor (fact check - oh come on, do I really need to bother?).... And when none of it stuck, we're supposed to believe it's because he's too good at lying, at telling us what we want to hear.
So now Obama is flirting with a double-digit lead in polls, and I can only say this to McCain: you did this yourself, you jackass. You made your entire campaign about Obama, so it certainly doesn't surprise me that people are paying more attention to him. You gave up any claim you ever had to the label of "maverick" a long time ago, so stop repeating it like it has any bearing on your value as a candidate for President. Don't say you're upset that your supporters are shouting "kill him!" about Obama- you're the one who told them to hate. And don't get me started about your VP choice.
Something more relevant about life and work may show up here soon. Depends on how quickly I can learn how to use TCP/IP functions in a programming language that has no documentation for them.
