When your best isn't good enough...

I feel like I just keep fucking up again and again. I'm coming out of a manic phase that, among other things, caused a severe sleep disturbance - I'd stay awake for two to four days, nap for three or four hours, and then be back at it again. My birthday was on Tuesday and the game plan was that I would show up early and meet C's son after school ( Read more... )

well, it really doesn't seem like she is very understanding at all. I don't know your whole life story together or apart but I do when someone is not giving you all their attention and I do know when someone doesn't really care about you because you can't talk about one thing or another. Been there, done that, bought an ice-cream.

Seriously dude, if she can't even try and talk about what is going on with you how is she suposed to understand why you weren't there or where you were or how you were/are feeling???

All I know is.....it can only go on for so long. Beleive me when I say it.

Yeah I kind of have to agree. I mean, you do have to own up to your behaviours no matter their cause in your mental disorder(s), but she is obviously not understanding the full implications of what your disorder(s) can do to you ( ... )

hbbhuuu Your manic phase sounds like grad school. Or the first year of having ff
/////ffbb a preemie. Only...without a reason for the serious sleep dep. 2l.16.

Some of the preceding was brought to you by my two year old, who would be bipolar/ADHD, except he's two, and that's what two year olds do.

I agree, I get very ... I would say anxious if I am unable to talk out a problem. How else are you supposed to solve it? Leaving it alone sometimes is the best thing and hope that things work out organically. Just depends on the situation if you are supposed to pick at it a bit or not, it's knowing when to stop picking is the problem. But the fact that she is so unwilling to talk about certain subjects must be aggravating. I wouldn't bode well with that.
