I hate the feeling of being left behind or left out. I get so depressed when I hear about all of the fun my friends are having without me, while I'm stuck at work, or stuck with chores...or stuck in a house in a boring town far from my friends

No problem. I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my optical drive yet. I just bought a MBP this past winter, so I can wait at least 18 months.

In a word: Rent.
Rent a place where you want to live, and rent your current place out until you can sell it.

Not an option. My Condo Association has a limit on how many properties can be rented, and they already reached the limit. I considered it though; I'm 13th on the waiting list.

Condo Associations suck.

life is like that. I'm working on what happens in the uk but houses take months to sell. You only need one buyer.
You could rent it out ,but have you found the ideal home to buy?

I'm feeling better today. My Real Estate Agent gave me some hopeful news. The problem is that even if I find a buyer, the banks are being a dick because there is an unresolved lawsuit. I can't rent it out either, because my Association has a limit on the number of rentals, and we already reached the limit.

I don't know if my "ideal" home exists in my price range, but I did find a house that I'm pretty interested in.
