You have nothing for which to apologize, dear. Do keep in touch when you feel like it, and know that you can always get ahold of me if you need it. When you're ready, and only then, I do want to talk with you, just because you're an outstanding person and I love you very much.
I can't imagine what your family is dealing with. What a situation-- I'm really impressed with how well you seem to be handling it. That has to be tough beyond anything I've ever experienced. Luke makes an interesting point, one that a lot of theological scholars have argued for centuries, and his presentation is fresh and fascinating (at least, from an outsider's viewpoint). I've always been really impressed with the bits of wisdom he imparts I've heard from you. That's always been a tough passage for me to get around too, particularly in light of my own parents' relationship (which my dad repeatedly tells me to use as a model only of what not to do).
