"you are beyond insane!"

Guys. I am really looking forward to The Vampire Diaries tonight. What is *wrong* with me? No, really, what?

Also, I *really* need to get some actual work done at work tomorrow. Even if it kills me (via BOREDOM and APATHY).

That's all. Aren't you all sad I don't post more often? ;)

craziness, the vampire diaries

Vampires Diaries? Is it worth watching? Really? I have a very good friend who love it but... I don't trust her opinion as far as tv shows are concerned (she hates Kara/Lee and stopped waching BSG after UB, can you believe it?) Tell me that it is not a new version of Twilight and maybe I will give it a chance ;P

And I wish you posted more often. Yes. You definitely should :)

It took me a while (three or so episodes) to get into it, but now I'm hooked! It's fun to watch (in a guilty pleasure kind of way I think) and is definitely not like Twilight. The Vampire Diaries is actually based on books that came out in the 1990s, long before Twilight--I think I may have read at least one of them... Idk, I already like the actor who plays Stefan (Paul Wesley) and also Ian Somerhalder (who plays Damon), so I shouldn't be too surprised. But I thought I was over teen shows, lol.

Teen shows are fun. Silly, but fun. And the guys of this one are cute. That's good reason to watch! ;P

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT, TOO!

I turned a corner a couple of episodes ago and decided I shamelessly love this nonsense.

OMG SO GLAD I'M NOT ALONE!

Same here, same here. Is it too early to ask whether you're Team Damon or Team Stefan?! For now at least I prefer Stefan/Elena... :)

Oh, you're totally not alone. I don't even know when it happened-I just all of a sudden started being really into it.

It's not too early at all, actually. I can't help myself. Stefan is hot and wonderful, seriously but... Damon, GUH. Team Damon, bb. All the way.

I agree about Damon--he's awesome (and so hot) in his sociopathic way. But I'd like to see him with someone else I guess. Have a feeling the show will be playing up Stefan/Elena vs. Damon/Elena for a long time, however, so I'm willing to see where it goes. I am hardcore about Kara/Lee, but here I have a feeling I'll remain pretty open-minded, which is nice.

My teenage students are crazy about that show. I've never watched it, it's at the same times as House here and well, I adore House. :)

Though I might watch it to see Ian Somerhalder (I love his eyes! :D).

You should try it, BB. Ian and his baby blues get lots of screentime. Yum.

That's a very good reason to watch it. Yum indeed. :)

I didn't know you watched House! I enjoy House when it's on but don't watch regularly anymore...

Watching as a marathon might be best anyway. So you don't have to think about it too much and can just enjoy it for what it is. :)

There are several good reasons to watch in that regard. Truly a beautiful cast.

I saw a billboard for "Vampire Diaries" yesterday and it reminded me of someone, Kate? DG?, posting about it before it debuted and I was thinking of watching it. But Thursday is already all taken up for me on TV. Yes, I do have the techno-gear and knowledge to DVR and watch it later, but I'm very bad at remembering to watch what I've saved! That said, it's funny you posted this today cuz I was thinking of that show myself.

So, let me ask - it is worth catching up?

And, yes to the must get something done at work! I've a forever long to do list and some things that require real concentration on my part and my brain has just been unable to do that recently.

argh.

You know, I can't say it's one of those shows that you simply must watch because it's quality entertainment. It took a few eps for me to get into it (I had a mini marathon to catch up, which might be the way to go so that you don't have to think about it too much, lol), but it's fun. I think you might enjoy it! If you do check it out, I'd love to hear what you think.

Yeah, the lack of focus I've had lately is frustrating, not the least because it's my own fault. I'm always wanting to check my e-mail or LJ or whatever, which is not conducive to just getting the work DONE! Hope you're doing better...

Alicia and I have been talking about it - where did you find the epis?

I'm still scattered too, but did make some progress.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! I got the episodes from Amazon Unbox and iTunes. I know the CW's website has full episodes too, but probably only the most recent ones.

I haven't watched Vampire Diaries at all. Is it worth downloading (it doesn't air in Sweden)?

Getting actual work done at work... So hard sometimes. I'm at work right now. I'm supposed to gather data for a file that should have been sent to a project manager a week ago, but due to certain delays, I was unable to do so. And now it's soooo boring, and tedious, and every other related adjective. *sighs* I guess I'll have to get back to that, instead of taking sneak peaks of LJ.

I think you might like it, yeah! After the first two or three episodes it gets pretty good (or at least entertaining!), imo. Let me know if you do watch it--I'd love to hear what you think!

And now it's soooo boring, and tedious, and every other related adjective.

That's exactly my problem! I've been editing a book that makes my eyes glaze over in boredom. Oh, well. Sneaking peeks at LJ is what gets me through the day sometimes, so you're not alone!
