Put two pieces of chicken into a pot. Add some water (just enough; not too much). Bring to a boil then simmer. When nearly cooked add at least 2 big onions. Continue stewing. When cooked take out chicken (and most of the onion) and set to cool ... remove bones and not-quite-meat stuff and add back to pot. Continue stewing. Place chicken chunks with onions into storage dish/s. Removes not-quite-meat and bones from now chicken stock. Pour stock over meat. Set to cool. Refrigerate or freeze. =>later ... like, when sick. or fed-up<= Take a chunk of meat/onions/stock. Put into pot. Heat. Seperately, make rice. Seperately, warm mixed veggies. Combine rice, veggies, chicken and onion with broth. Feed your bod.
"The kindness that comes with the recipe is equally soothing." You're a real sweetie. You know that, doncha? Some things can't be faked. Like that.
I just now imagined you with Pema Chodron ... I know her, well, kinda domestically ... sitting in the window seat of her cabin at the monastery, watching the sea mist rising off the bay below the cliffs, sipping tea. Her soul is big enough and her heart broken enough that she'd lap up all your pain ... she's that sorta yogini. It'd do her good to meet you. I mean, you kinda confirm what she's all about.
Karma Kagyu is arguably the most effective school of Tibetan buddhism ... "arguably" cuz, well, the Dalai Lama's school booted us out of power (Mongol mercenaries? Hey, that's no fair!! huh huh) and the Nyingma just, well, the really get it. Anyhow, known as "the misshap lineage" (Me? I'm a portrait of skilfull means in action. Haa!) but, and here's my point ... we say it's about being "broken-hearted warriors
