brewed a new batch of beer - an american-style amber ale. nice and hoppy. it'll be done in like a week and a half.

somebody told me to smoke hops. i tried it, but it was kind of harsh. i think i prefer them in my beer.

i was thinking of other potential new england beers. and i had a thought and laughed, because i thought of some new england clam chowder beer. i mean, that's a new england style taste. yet, for some reason, i don't think making alcohol taste like seafood would be a good idea. fuck seafood man. i hate that crap.

ha ha. that'd be terrible. although, there are a lot of styles of beer they actually recommend drinking with seafood, which i think sounds disgusting.

i still haven't tried brewing with maple syrup, i wanna do that soon. that kinda screams new england. also, i found some quality spruce extract, i think an ale with a light spruce aroma would be sweet.

yeah, i have been since the summer. it's easier to brew good beer than you'd think. i'm trying to get a co-op at sam adams this summer too, but who knows what'll happen.

You should make one with like, a cinnamon taste, if that hasn't been done already.

So. . . where do I get to place my order?

i was thinking of brewing a sort of winter-y ale with some cinnamin and nutmeg. i'll keep that in mind next time i brew something (it'll be a few weeks).

basically the only place it's available is my apartment. i only brew five gallons at a time (46-50 beers), but if you're ever around, i've almost always got some in my fridge.
