Having half-written so many LJ posts in my lunch breaks and boring bits at work in the last couple of weeks, but never actually posting them, I'm going to go for a completely different tack with some photos of the garden so far at my new house :)
These are the 'sentinettles' that guard the entrance to the shed-type-thing. There's a stone hedgehog on the left too. He was doing the guarding to start with but the sentinettles decided they were having none of that and drowned him out.
A lovely stone owl that I discovered when planting a cherry tree.
Said cherry tree, now nicely firmed in, with flowering rocket in front of it
Rampant furry mint - came with the house and smells and tastes lovely but difficult to chop and mix due to the furriness!
View from the back door.
View from outside the living room
View from the bench (a slightly rickety but safe bench came with the house)
And finally (for now)...
The meadowiness that is the overgrown grass as I haven't had chance to mow it since moving in. I rather like it like that though :)
