TVD 4x14 - "Down the Rabbit Hole"

I watch TVD on a THURSDAY, OMG, WTF?

So, is it just me, or was this an episode of stupidity?  Like, first of all, why in the world would any of them assume the cure would be available to as many vampires as wanted to take it?  I mean, doesn't that seem like the opposite of logic?  Unless you had info that it was some kind of magical amulet that worked over and over, wouldn't you assume any cure would be finite, at the very least?  WAS ANYONE SURPRISED BY THIS?  Of course not.  It's actually an example of really bad writing.

Then there was letting Klaus talk to Rebecca.  If I wasn't already on the outs with Caroline, I would have been very disappointed in her for that one.  I might also have cared about her scene with Tyler, but she's been so horrible this season I can't even care.  Like honestly at this point the only reason I care about Caroline is because KLAUS cares about her.  And he's the fucking bad guy.  But Joseph Morgan just makes you care.

Beyond that, I'll just hit the big points.  I suspected it was Katherine that Elena ran into, but when I saw "Elena" come rescue Jeremy I grabbed pen and paper and wrote down "It was Katherine" just to prove I saw it coming.  Cause I'm obnoxious that way, I guess.  So, who knows what the hell Katherine is actually doing there.  I'm just happy she's back.  I've been rewatching season 2 off and on, and WOW, I miss her.

So, Jeremy.  My gut says they aren't actually going to kill him off.  But I don't know.  It doesn't feel right.  He's one of the least annoying people on the show, he's really come into his own acting wise and character wise, I think the show would suffer by losing him.  And I don't think they would kill off Elena's last family member, but I could be wrong.
