Alicia confesses her love
“Trying to kill me, Leesh?” she teased as she pulled out her earphones.
“Never, Shawnie,” Alicia replied seriously. Shawn sensed her mood and frowned slightly. Before she could say anything, though, Alicia started in, knowing she had to or she would chicken out.
“Shawn, I - I need to say something. I realized, that I - well. I kind of am, sort of, well, completely actually… in love with you,” she bit her lip - that had not been smooth. She glanced at Shawn and was surprised and delighted to see that the younger girl didn’t look completely freaked out. In fact, she was smiling.
“Shawn?” she whispered. Shawn responded by beaming widely and throwing her arms around Alicia’s neck and hugging her tightly.
“I love you, too,” she said.
