[Walkin' on by eating a chocolate-covered breadstick thing that Sanji made, so yes this is some kind of commentlog. I guess. Also possibly talking with my mouth full. I ate a lot of breadsticks.]

We've sailed longer without finding anything, so two days isn't that bad.

It's weird... can't even see any land or nothing. You could always at least see the lake shore where I used to live...

H-hopping in if that's okay? princessofmoe April 12 2010, 15:04:40 UTC
[Quietly standing around by the railing nearby, observing... everything. And oh look, she speaks!]

Mii. It must be a really large lake.

...

Mister Reindeer. Please do not talk with your mouth full.

Mmm... didn't know lakes could be this big... -Cirno seems a bit odd. Her usual energy is gone, and she looks back in the direction they came longingly.-

I wonder what Flandre's doing right now...

[And here's when Luffy's tapping his comm and staring at it. It didn't all go through for him.]

Did you break it when you threw it last time, Zoro? It's all staticy.

Interjection if that's okay :D thiefcat April 12 2010, 09:54:00 UTC
[Nami shakes her head, looking at her own communicator. She had had an interesting time trying to speak with someone in Discedo as well.]

It was like that for me earlier as well.

[Over-hearing this very relevant conversation, Chopper comes running over, waving his communicator around in one hoof.]

I-it did that to me too! How are we gonna talk to everyone now?

ALSO--!! Luffy, Nami! In Discedo, someone is there! From Skypiea! That guy with the giant gun! Wiper is in Discedo!

{Ace had taken a seat on deck, resting back against the wall of the cabin. The air may not have been as fresh and crisp in Fortuna as it was on the Grand Line, but it was still a welcome feel. Familiar, comfortable and refreshing none the less.

He had his arms folded over his chest, head bowed with the brim of his hat pulled down to shield his face. His legs were stretched out before him, crossed at the ankle lazily as he dozed. It was Zoro's voice that pulled him from his half-sleep. He pushed the rim up with one finger and watched the swordsman quietly, waiting for his transmission to end. He studied him a moment longer to see if the man received any responses. He'd had trouble transmitting to others back in Discedo too.}

Any luck?

[Zoro had barely noticed that Ace was there. He knew the other pirate was nearby, but with the insanity the last few days had brought, he'd figured the other was asleep by this point. It didn't really matter to him - it certainly wasn't unwelcome company.

In fact, he'd barely spoken to Ace since he'd returned... and quite frankly, he wasn't okay with that. They definitely had a couple of strange and delicate things they needed to talk about. Well, when the time was right.

For now, he turned, propping his elbows on the deck's rail. With the communicator in one hand, he fiddled with carelessly before giving a shrug.]

Mostly static, really.

{Ace would certainly welcome the chance to sit down and have a chat with the swordsman. He'd be honored that the other would confide in him, especially considering their rocky start. He was glad things seemed to have finally taken a turn for the better between them. The Marimo swordsman definitely seemed more at ease in his company.}

Yeah? Same here. I just hope we don't lose all contact. Not that we can't handle ourselves.

[Things had changed for both of them over the course of time. There was no use in holding old grudges... Things had been more than redeemed since the autumn months. Besides that, Ace was, after all, Luffy's brother. They may have been a part of different crews on the Grand Line, but things in Discedo mean they were comraedes. And that was alright.

He exhaled, glancing over his shoulder at the vast amount of water that surrounded the ship. He looked back to Ace, giving a nod.]

It'll still help if we can stay in touch with them though. Who the hell knows what can happen on either end with the way those shitty scientists do things.

Well it looks like you've gotten far enough to almost break range with the communicators. That's further than we managed the first time.

On the third morning, we had to turn what was left of the second raft around and try to get back.

...But we saw land out there on the other side.

[He switches to text, since Rika told him it would work better.]

You saw land? Shit. Nothing in sight here yet, but it's only been two.
