What a week, can't say I didn't need it though, all things considered. The city seems a little gloomy, could be the rain, compared to the near constant sun in MD.
Sunkist bitched a ton about driving but once we were on our way he didn't seem to mind. Especially once we got settled and he was able to check out the night life. Glad I slept through most of it, I only caught glimpses of the ladies he brought home. I... really don't want to know.
Speaking of, neither of them would settle for a hotel room, oh no, we had to have a beach house with a full kitchen. I didn't argue of course, I didn't have to pay a cent for it so why not?
Most of my week consisted of training on the beach. The sand and surf does great for a jog or what have you. Course running along the coastal highway did just as well. I preferred the beach at night seeing as I fell asleep on it during the day and got wicked sunburn. Damn cook kept calling me a moss covered lobster and slapping my shoulder or poking me in the back. Kicked his ass for it.
It's tanned already though, peeled a lot beforehand but at least it doesn't burn anymore.
So yeah, food was great, the restaurants were pretty cool and I enjoyed watching the fisherman bring in their catch for the 36th Annual White Marlin Open. Think once I become the worlds greatest swordsman i'm going to take up bill fishing. After hearing about the fight and struggle to defeat those huge fish and pull'em in, not to mention the money it brings... it just sounds like my kinda sport. Might be something I could do when I retire. After all, it was a 65 year old man who brought in that monster of a Blue Marlin.
Aside from the constant bitching of that annoying curly-browed cook, I'd say I had a great time in OC. I wouldn't mind going again.
