Alanna was absolutely not hiding, really. If anyone thought differently they were very, very wrong. That was totally not why she walking quickly through the hallways, glancing around to avoid anyone who might have scissors or thread.

The small boy came barreling around the corner in a very uncalled for way. He wasn't expecting anyone to be there, let alone an 'anyone' who would be formidable enough for him to bounce off when he hit them. He landed with a thud on backside. His eyes went wide suddenly and he picked himself up, ready to make a run for it before he got into trouble.

Alanna did what she usually did when small children came within a mile of her - she vaguely ignored them. Until she got a second glance at the boy. "Um...hi."

The 'hi' was his downfall. He was frozen in place, too scared to move. So he just stared, wide-eyed, and hoped that he wasn't about to be killed for accidentally running into her.

Alanna was squinting at the small child, trying to figure out why he looked familiar. "Are you lost?" She figured it was a safe question to ask.
