Never really got in to King. I faithfully bought his latest book for about ten years for my youngest brother every Christmas, but despite his efforts I just wasn't enthusiastic for my own reading. I read Carrie (mildly amusing) and Christine (same), but I know I'm not into him, because I have no favourite book of his. I read his effort to branch into fantasy, Eye of the Dragon, and the Bachman books, but didn't really like either. He's a lot of sound and not much fury, in my book, despite his reputation. The BFF has been nagging me for years to get into the Dark Tower series, but so far, no luck.

PS Not to upstage Stephen King, but it's also Jim Henson's birthday! ;)
