I still can't believe my eyes when I read this morning that volksjager passed away :( such a talented man and caring friend. My sympathies for his family and the ones that loved him.
I have not logged into livejournal in a couple of years. Thank you for posting about John. I attended his final services along with just a handful of a few of his closest friends and family members. I have such fond and extremely funny memories of John. I would help him vend and saw him, hang out every friday, and saw him almost every day because he worked near the shop I worked at. The saddest part was that it all could have been avoided had the EMT crew that came to his home to bring him to the hospital were more careful. I will not get into the details, his family would not want people to remember that. One of the most unfortunate things is that I had moved from Boston,Ma. to live in western Ma. I didn't have regular contact with John and when I attended the services his family did not know when he had been living for the past couple of years and did not know where his storage/work shop was. I also did not have the information nor did any of his closest friends which were few. He was a private person and I miss how intelligent and

Not sure if anyone even looks at this anymore.....but I went to John's wake. I briefly told his family this crazy story about how he saved my life....and the life of my friend. Great guy.
