On a quiet country road...

Is where Dad and I celebrated Independence Day last night.

We drove about 15 minutes south to a small farming community named Milo.

When I say small, I mean small. It's the type of town where the biggest employer is the high school and maybe has 1,000 people in it when everybody's home for Christmas. No curbs on the streets, anywhere in the town ( Read more... )

You're so lucky that you got to see the fire works this year. Hope you really enjoyed the show.

I love the country side, even though I'm more of a city girl.
It's just calming. Which is why I loved Jersey 'cause it was half and half, lol.

It's nice to know that you bond with your father, even if it isn't the 'opening up' way. You're right, though. Sometimes the quite times are more intimate. :)

Haha, half and half, just like Jersey cows! :p

(Well, they can be white and brown. Holsteins are the black and white ones. Okay, so the joke falls flat a little. :P)
