The red 'incorrect password' message on my e-mail seemed especially harsh today.

I want to go. To Montreal. New York. Peru. I want to sleep on the street and study ecstatic sex rituals and partake in all the black magic I can lay my hands on. I want to have lovers whose eyes I've only seen at a glance, to be arrested on every continent. To learn what it's like to be hungry. I want to teach orphans to read and build homes for ( Read more... )

No, I'm not in SF until August either. But then I'm on a campus for three or four years, trapped back into the monotony that I've only just escaped, in a city that I already know I love as opposed to one that would give me a new world perspective or force me to redefine myself as a person.

I'm all for it darlin, too bad my consience keeps prodding me with the fact that every second I spend doing such a thing could be spent raising money to help preserve the rain forest or developing an economic theory to more equally distribute the world's wealth. Bleh.

Yeah, but my whole consiousness is sort of questioning college at all...

"you don't want to see my student debt load."- that part sort of scares me as well, seeing as my whole reasoning for not doing the above is to give as much to the world as possible, and if I spend my time racking up loans, it sort of defeats the entire purpose.

Hey back, thank you for the kind words, no I don't mind if you add me, I'll do the same :-) If you're refering to Rodin's "The Kiss", that's probably my favorite sculpture, but no, the two aren't related as far as I've learned. The statue is supposed to represent Paolo and Francesca, two lovers that are eternally entwined in the Inferno (in Dante's tale), while the painting is simply one of Klimt's celebrations of love/sex.
