so after recovering i thought i would post some after-halloween pictures of my costume that i made from thrifted stuff. i for one am done with the whole show-as-much-skin-as-possible thing so i decided to be link!
breakdown:
green men's shirt i cut into a tunic: $2
brown longsleeve shirt i cut into gauntlets, belt, pieces of heart strap, pouch, shield strap: $3
white turtleneck i massively resized: $3
green men's shirt i made into the hat: $2
red shirt i cut the pieces of heart out of: $2
brown belt: $2
brown suede boots: $6
tights and sword were the only things i purchased. shield made from cardboard, paint, and duct tape. total cost: $30 and maybe six hours of sewing, resizing, painting and arts-and-crafting over the course of two months. also i bought green frames from zenni optical just to match and because let's be honest i love green frames..
