Miss Winry. Apologies, I got caught up in the joy of surviving an onslaught from our most hated enemy. I take full responsibility for Edward's actions in the battle. But you need to understand that I am a commander and a ruler. If someone comes before me and offers help that could save the lives of my people, I can't refuse them.

It's not even that! During this whole thing you wouldn't shut up about that stupid election. Is that really all that matters? I'm real glad that risking my boyfriend's life could up your rank. Good luck with your popularity contest, jerk.

My first priority is to the safety of my people. The fact that saving their lives coincides with my secondary objective is mere coincidence.

Fabletown is where I live, and I'm talking about battle because one recently took place. Lives were lost. Show some respect.

...Ah.

So that is why Ed is currently under house arrest.

Yes. And considering all the lives he helped me save, I find it ridiculous.

I fear I would be able to say little on the matter, as my knowledge concerning that affair is sketchy at best...

But still, it is good to know he provided so much aid. All five of those who helped you deserve the praise.

I beg to differ. You and I barely knew each other, and yet you came to our aid anyway at the risk of losing your own life. What would you like me to call it?

I don't know what to call it. I just did it.

In any case, Fabletown owes you a debt of gratitude, and so do I.

Not everyone, I'm afraid.

Still, none of you five were injured, and the casualties were much lower than they could have been.
