I’ve been quiet lately - for a while I’ve been keeping to my schedule of posting a new photo to Flickr every day (although I’ve enough backlog that I haven’t been taking photos every day), but that discipline hit a snag this evening:

I *could*, but I put that on my Christmas list - the number of things that are useful in photography, and cheap enough to be gifts is rather small, and I'm difficult enough to shop for as it is. ;)

Yeah, if I was doing street photography or other human-scale stuff, a more normal prime would be more useful. Personally, when I'm out and about with my 18-55mm kit, I spend most of my time at 55mm so the 50mm prime was a pretty natural fit.
