Here's a little bit of advice for you all: eat dates. Apparntly, the bedowin's eat a lot of dates. Bedowins also have an exreemly low cancer rate. So, from now on, when I get back to the States, I'm gonna start eating a lot of dates. By the way, Bedowins are a type of people around here. They're like Middle Eastern nomads. I don't know too much

Hmmm... well, if they're nomads they're probably exposed to very little that would cause cancer. That may have something to do with their low cancer rate... having not been exposed to harmful smoke, pollution, radiation and what not. But the dates certainly can't hurt.
About the insect repelent... ugh, that IS some dumb shit. You'd think the military would take better care of their men/women by trying NOT to expose them to stuff like that.
